Parents

Have at least one meal together as a family each week.

Encourage your child’s school to conduct a walk-a-thon as an alternative to food related fundraisers.
Child Care

Try one new fruit or vegetable each week for a month.

Introduce one new physical activity each week for a month that will help develop gross motor skills.
Community and Faith Based Organizations:

Include at least one fruit or vegetable in every meal for a month.

Have a physical activity challenge among your own members or have your group challenge another group.
Everyone

Support National Turn Off The TV Day.

If you belong to a group that prepares community dinners,
plan to offer at least one heart healthy side dish. -
